We are proud to announce that our honorees for this year are Anthony Yoseloff and Ilana Goldman, who have provided their expertise and resources as LEDA Board members for nearly a decade. During our event, they will participate in a conversation led by Tony Marx, a long-time LEDA supporter and President & CEO of the New York Public Library, about their work to advance access to education and cultivating a life-long practice of philanthropy. Our 20th Anniversary Annual Celebration will be Chaired by LEDA Board members Shuly Leviant (Partner, General Counsel, Davidson Kempner Capital Management) and Frederick Fogel (Partner, General Counsel, The Baupost Group).

We will also be continuing our tradition of recognizing a LEDA alum who has inspired us with the leadership they have demonstrated and embodied LEDA’s Core Values of Excellence, Integrity, Compassion, and Community. This year’s alumni honoree will be Philomina Kane (LEDA Cohort 8), founder & CEO of KIN Apparel. Scroll down to learn more about Philomina.

Anthony Yoseloff
Anthony A. Yoseloff (Tony) is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Davidson Kempner Capital Management LP, a global institutional investment management firm based in New York with approximately $37 billion in assets under management. He joined the Firm in 1999. Tony is a member of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the investment committee of The New York Public Library, a member of the Board of Trustees and Vice Chair of the investment committee at New York-Presbyterian, and a member of the Board of Directors of PRINCO, the investment manager of the Princeton University endowment. He is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Tony received a J.D. from Columbia Law School and an M.B.A. from the Columbia Graduate School of Business Administration in 1999. He earned an A.B., cum laude, from the School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in 1996.

Ilana Goldman
Ilana Goldman is a public service leader, with expertise in change management, entrepreneurial ventures, organizational strategy, and fundraising. With over 30 years of experience starting, growing, running, and turning around nonprofits and leading political campaigns at the local and federal levels, she has had the privilege of working for change on a range of policy issues. Ilana consults for both the private and public service sectors across issues from e-government to socially responsible business, and her work has been recognized in multiple national media outlets. Ilana is a former United Nations Fellow, Salzburg Global Fellow, and serves on several boards; she is particularly proud of her work as the Chair of the Board of Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America (LEDA).

Ilana holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a Master of Political Science and Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from Boston University.

Philomina Kane
Philomina Kane is a Ghanaian-American entrepreneur and content creator. Born with a passion for the arts, her early years were filled with captivating performances in numerous theater and dance productions. In 2017, she graduated from Princeton University and began to cement herself as a haircare YouTuber. Garnering a following of nearly 200,000 subscribers, Philomina became a guiding force, empowering Black women to embrace and care for their natural hair.

In 2020, Philomina founded KIN Apparel, a brand dedicated to crafting satin-lined hoodies and hats for both hair protection and comfort. The innovative approach of KIN Apparel caught the attention of Shark Tank, and, in 2021, Philomina landed a six-figure deal with SKIMS’ founding partner Emma Grede. Philomina is a winner of the prestigious Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition Prize and a Forbes “30 Under 30” lister. Today, she remains committed to the growth of her brand and shares her wealth of knowledge with aspiring entrepreneurs, teaching them how to monetize their passion.
