It is with deepest sadness that Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America shares the news of the passing of Yasmin Ahmed Abdillahi, a LEDA Cohort 11 Scholar and a LEDA Career Fellow. Yasmin graduated from Harding Senior High School in St. Paul, MN, and was a sophomore at Princeton University. She first joined the LEDA Community in 2015, attending the Aspects of Leadership Summer Institute, and later attended the LEDA Career Institute in 2017.
Tara Gellene, LEDA’s Senior Director of Programs, shared, “Yasmin was formidable – her passion, intellect, and courage made her a powerful advocate for her beliefs. And at the same time she had such warmth, such deep and moving faith, and such a sense of humor. She was such a treasure in our community.”
We would like to offer our condolences to Yasmin’s family and friends in this time of loss. Our community will remember Yasmin’s insight, sense of humor, and courage. We will miss Yasmin profoundly.
